Participate in the Meat Board’s Meat Route
The Meat Board of Namibia seeks red meat and red meat product outlets, tourism shops or convenience stores to participate in the Meat Board’s Meat Route initiative.
This Meat Rote will run along the main tourism roads of Namibia and will indicate to tourists or visitors to Namibia where Namibian red meat and meat products can be purchased along the route.
Red meat and red meat product outlets, tourism shops or convenience stores in the following towns or enroute to these towns are invited to apply: Noordoewer, Ariamsvlei, Luderitz, Keetmanshoop, Mariental, Sesriem, Swakopmund, Windhoek, Gobabis, Okahandja, Omaruru, Otjiwarongo, Outjo, Otavi, Rundu and Katima Mulilo.
Criteria to participate in the Namibian Meat Route:
· Supply Namibian meat and meat products obtained from the Meat Board registered abattoirs and processors; and
· Present a unique shopping experience to the buyer; and
· Attractive meat display; and
· Product must be of Namibian origin
How it will work:
A Meat Route brochure will be available at all ports of entry to Namibia, on the Meat Board web page, and on Meat Board social media pages.
The information will be shared with all Namibian Tourism Companies; and
The Meat Board will supply display fridge labels to participating outlets

Application instructions:
Outlets should apply in writing to participate in the Meat Board of Namibia Meat Route. The application should vlearly indivate the location of the outlet and compliance with the criteria as listed. Please also submit a photo of the meat display of the outlet.
